Description
ICT Environment Management teams support applications which are critical to the Tax Office achieving its required outcomes.
Two contractors are needed in the Data Services (mid range database services) team at Bruce; The Data Services-(mid range database services) team at Bruce is responsible for managing the majority of the ATO's midrange databases.
The amount of work carried out by the midrange team is increasing as application databases will be migrated to the GSU (Global Switch Ultimo) data centre from Bruce. Among applications currently supported are Portal, e-tax, ABR, etc for the Internet Data Centre (IDC) environment with PWS, TDMS, Quality Centre for the Midrange Managed Environment (MME).
Additionally the team reviews application database designs and provides advice to application developers. SQL server 2000, 2005 and 2008, are used in the IDC & MME environments.
To ensure an equitable distribution of work amongst team members both ATO permanent and Contractors, each contractor must be able to work overtime and provide on call support to the various systems.
