Supply of Statewide Platform for the management of Individual Patient Approvals (IPAs)

Department of Health has a requirement for an existing and demonstrably effective off-the-shelf and highly configurable electronic platform system for the management of the IPAs.

The platform should be externally hosted on the Contractor’s infrastructure or cloud-based infrastructure. The Statewide IPA Platform (SIPAP) will be accessible to all public hospital sites in WA for the administration of IPAs. The platform should be available and accessible to computers in use in clinical and support areas of WA hospitals, along with other devices that could be of use or available. Secure access should be available on devices outside of the WA Health IT network.

The end-users of SIPAP will be prescribers, pharmacists, members of site-specific Drugs and Therapeutics Committees and staff that may be required to endorse applications which, includes but is not limited to members of hospital executive and staff from a hospital’s finance department. Department of Health will also use the platform to access data. All end-users will only work within the WA public health system.
