Health Monitoring: Occupational Health and Hygiene Services

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the provision of occupational health, hygiene and related services.

RoadTek is interested in understanding the health monitoring requirements for employees potentially exposed to hazards in the workplace. The information will be used to inform future activities for implementing a health monitoring solution and services.

The scope of work includes the following tasks:
• Perform a desktop review of standard RoadTek work activities considering the typical RoadTek work environments and tasks to identify actual or potential health exposures.
• Consult with RoadTek operational staff as required to understand work activities and current practices in greater detail. Travel outside Brisbane is not expected.
• Confirm the critical exposure levels and health monitoring requirements for each identified hazard from the relevant sources, including but not limited to:
• Work Health and Safety Act 2011
• Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011
• Codes of practice
• Safe work Australia Workplace exposure standards.
• Define employee groups within RoadTek who require particular health monitoring.
