Bribie Island State School Canteen Refurbishment

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Canteen Refurbishment at Bribie Island State School, located at 31-63 First Avenue, Bongaree QLD 4507, as part of the Targeted Maintenance program.

The refurbishment of the existing Canteen includes new internal painting, lighting, joinery, glazing, roller doors, handwash basin, dishwasher, fridge, oven, stainless steel splashback and adjustable shelving as well as a new fenced bin enclosure externally. The position of the building is at the centre of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by 30 June 2021.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works, and

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1,000,000.00

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
