About Us

Phillip Island Nature Parks (Nature Parks) is a leading conservation and ecotourism organisation. We offer a diverse range of ecotourism experiences on Millowl (Phillip Island) including the Penguin Parade, Nobbies Centre, Churchill Island and Koala Conservation Reserve. The Nature Parks also manages over 1,980 hectares of Crown land which includes a variety of coastal reserves, wetlands, and woodlands.

Phillip Island Nature Parks was created by the State Government of Victoria in 1996 and comprises over 1,980 hectares of Crown Land set aside under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 “for the conservation of areas of natural interest or beauty or of scientific, historic or archaeological interest”.

As part of the UNESCO Western Port Biosphere Reserve, the Nature Parks encompasses wildlife sanctuaries, wetlands, woodlands and breathtaking coastlines, which are protected and managed by world-renowned environmental and research programs.

Habitat within the Nature Parks supports significant populations of little penguins, hooded plovers, short-tailed shearwaters and other international migratory bird species, and mammals such as koalas, possums, wallabies, Australian fur seals, bats, and Eastern barred bandicoots. Also under the protection of the Nature Parks is a range of plant communities including more than 330 native species.

Phillip Island Nature Parks is an advanced ecotourism destination. Dedicated to quality ecotourism experiences and wildlife management, the Nature Parks features the highest number of Advanced Ecotourism accredited types of tours of any tourism operator in Victoria.

Phillip Island Nature Parks is a self-funded organisation. Revenue generated through ecotourism activities is invested into vital conservation, research, and education programs.

Back Ground

The Nature Parks is looking to appoint a suitably qualified panel that are, value for money reliable and complaints civil works suppliers to assist the Nature Parks to manage our civil works programs.

Objectives

The objectives to implement a panel of suppliers, include the need for the following:

  1. Drainage pipe and pit construction for stormwater management
  2. Kerb and channel work to ensure public safety and stormwater drainage
  3. Road construction and maintenance
  4. Concrete footpath and vehicle crossing works
  5. Gravel track construction and Maintenance.
  6. Carpark construction and Maintenance.
  7. Vacuum pumping
  8. Underground asset location

Overall, achieving quick response to Maintenance and new works

This invitation aims to establish a panel of suitably qualified and cost-effective roads and civil partners to assist Nature Parks in enhancing our roads, car parks, tracks, and stormwater drainage systems.

Suppliers may submit their tender interest in a single, several or all of the above civil Contract Objectives. Nature Park is looking for a diverse range of supplier skills to establish a panel to suit the Park’s ongoing works schedule.
