Description
Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is seeking a supplier that can deliver “off the shelf” equipment and services that include the design, construction, installation, commissioning, handover and provision of training and procedure manuals to maintain a bulk multiple loading retardant mixing capability. The retardant mixing capability will be required to support LAT and SEAT reloading operations. The equipment not limited to but must suit the use of “Phosbag” retardant packaging arrangement. Phosbags are the preferred method of retardant storage for DFES as the handling, transporting and mixing of the product provides operational and storage efficiencies when compared to other retardant packaging methods. The use of Phosbags provides important redundancies as Phosbags permit DFES to deploy the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) managed fire retardant capabilities to enhance State retardant capabilities in support of aerial fire suppression operations.
