Supply of Security to the Magistrates Court of Tasmania

The Magistrates Court of Tasmania requires the services of a Supplier to provide specialised security services to maintain public, staff and Magistracy safety within each of the Magistrates Courts of Tasmania Court premises.

Security Services are required at the four permanent Court Registries and the various Country Courts as and when required. The Magistrates Court of Tasmania is divided into three regions of operation, they are Southern, Northern and North Western regions.

The Supplier shall provide licensed security officers under the Security and Investigations Act 2002 for appointment as Security Officers pursuant to section 4 or section 5 of the Court Security Act 2017. While undertaking person-in-custody custodial, escorting and detention duties within Court Premises, Security Officers will be exercising legal authorities afforded by the Court Security Act 2017.
