Highway Widening and Overlay including construction of 2 bridges at Cave Creek and Goodeman Creek.

Pre-qualification: To be eligible to tender, Tenderers must be suitably prequalified for Structures Prequalification Category Bridgeworks B3 or higher, and must either be prequalified for, or engage a subcontractor who is prequalified with Roadworks Prequalification Category R4 or higher

National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Building Code: The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in conjunction with the Building Code 2013, applies to this project. The Building Code document is available at www.deewr.gov.au/BuildingCode.

Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme: It is a requirement of this project that any persons contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme established by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005, at the time of the RFP closing for the building work and while the building work is being carried out.

Main Roads Western Australia Project Web Portal

The Main Roads Western Australia Project Web Portal will be amended in the coming days. The amendment will include the addition of ZIP files (replication of the existing files) onto the project web portal to allow easier downloading of the project information.

Request for Proposal:

The Request for Proposal will be amended by way of Addendum in the coming days. The amended Request for Proposal will include the details pertaining to the pre-tender site meeting

Clause 4.1 (a) A mandatory pre-tender site inspection will commence at 10.30am on 13 August 2014 at the proposed basecourse pit at SLK 660. The pit is approximately 68 kilometres south of the North West Coastal Highway / Burkett Road intersection. The site inspection is expected to be completed by late afternoon at SLK 824.
