Local Sport Grant Program Evaluation - OoS0000010

The project will include the following: A review and confirmation of the current draft program logic and Evaluation Plan and update throughout the project as necessary. Conduct a detailed Post Evaluation of the 2022-23 and 2023-24 Programs process and outcomes, considering the design, planning, scheduling and resourcing of the program. Provide recommendations for future programs, specifically the 2025-26 Program. Ensuring that future programs are achieving the desired outcomes and increasing participation rates overall and among target populations and underrepresented groups. The program design needs to ensure that it has a geographical spread across NSW and is aligned to the Office of Sport 2024-2028 strategic plan. Conduct a detailed Formative Evaluation of the 2025-26 Program process and outcomes, considering the design, planning, scheduling and resourcing of the program. Manage stakeholder relations with parties who are participating in the evaluation. Issues management – Identify how to resolve issues that arise. Actively manage the project including reporting to the Office regularly on progress. Prepare draft, interim and final reports of all deliverables and brief the Office on potential findings throughout. Make specific recommendations regarding how the evaluation findings could be used to inform the design, implementation, and operation of the Program or other similar NSW Government grant programs, for example through gaps in the program or evaluation design and data collection. 2.10 Make specific recommendations about future design, assessment and other strategies or initiatives the Office could consider, to increase the engagement and participation of underrepresented groups including women and girls, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disability, First Nations peoples and LGBTQIA+ people the sport and recreation sector.
