Workforce Training and Capability Building Services

The Department of Communities (Communities) currently funds 12 Child Sexual Abuse Therapeutic Services (CSATS) and two Indigenous Healing Services (IHS) Statewide. CSATS and IHS funded providers continue to report reduced capacity to meet increasing demand for services, staff retention and attraction issues and an inability to undertake regular workforce development and professional training to ensure service delivery is in line with best practice. To address workforce capability gaps and ensure providers are able to embed the Minimum Practice Standards: Specialist and community support services responding to child sexual abuse, Communities is seeking a Contractor to develop and deliver and online course (including online training material) to deliver targeted workforce training and develop practice resources to address these workforce capability gaps and enhance the sector’s capacity to better respond to victims and survivors of child sexual abuse.
