WA Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD)
Provision of Health Insurance Services to Overseas Students Enrolled in West Australian Government Schools and Colleges
Details
Description
The Department's Education and Training International (ETI) division enrolls approximately 3,000 students in its fee paying international student programs each year. These students are enrolled at State Training Provider institutions, colleges and government primary and secondary schools. Overseas students enter Australia on a student visa. A mandatory condition of a student visa is that the visa holder must take our Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) insurance for the duration of their student visa whilst in Australia.
The Department of Training and Workforce Development under the delegated authority of VET (WA) Ministerial Corporation is seeking an OSHC Insurance Provider to establish and maintain an insurance application process using ETI staff to assist students in their initial application of OSHC. The successful Respondent must be a registered private health insurance provider under the Private Health Insurance Act 2007, and who has signed the Deed of Agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia as represented by the Department of Health.
