Disability Services Commission - Disability Justice Centre - 120 A Lord Street, Caversham - Construction

The Disability Services Commission has a requirement for the construction of a disability justice centre at Lord Street in Caversham. The contemporary, secure centre will accommodate people with intellectual or cognitive disability who have been charged with an offence but are not able to understand the court process and are deemed unfit to plead.

The disability justice centre will house up to 10 people at any one point in time and will consist of one administration/visitor block, three accommodation blocks, one common room block and site works including vehicle access, landscaping and fencing. The centre will have advanced security management and communication systems integrated throughout buildings, landscaping and fences.

Please note, this project will form part of the Government’s trial of Project Bank Accounts (PBA). For more information on PBAs, please refer to the attached PBA Information Pack (Appendix A) or visit www.finance.wa.gov.au/works.

A non-mandatory briefing session (for any interested parties) will be held at the Optima Centre [16 Parkland Road, Osborne Park WA 6017] on the following date:

  • 4 February 2014 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM

The purpose of this session will be to familiarise potential Respondents and industry with Project Bank Accounts (PBA). To register to attend the briefing session, please contact the Department’s Industry Liaison unit on:
