Description
The ABS requires purpose built corrugated fibreboard packs with inserts to be produced for the 2011 Census. These packs will be used to store the Census forms and other sensitive items (Census materials) at various stages of the process, transport the Census materials to and from all parts of Australia and to protect the integrity of the Census materials. Census materials will be packed approximately six to eight months before they are transported from the Central Packing Centre (CPC) to field staff homes located around the country. The packs are then used to return the Census materials from field staff to the Data Processing Centre (DPC) in Melbourne. It is estimated that a total of 175,000 packs and 350,000 inserts will be required for the 2011 Census and 2010 Dress Rehearsal.
