Deliver General Conditions of Construction Contracts (AS2124) Introductory and Advanced Training Sessions

The WA Government spends more than $16 billion each year procuring goods, services, and works. As a result, it is critical that the Public Sector Works contract and project management workforce are supported through appropriate training and capability resources to deliver on the WA community’s expectations.

The Department of Finance (the Customer) provides a range of services to deliver the State Government's non-residential building program, using extensive in-house expertise in asset planning, project delivery, and maintenance services.

Australian Standard 2124-1992 (AS 2124-1992) is the primary regulatory standard used by the Building and Contracts Division (B&C) for capital works projects.

Through this Request, the Customer is seeking the delivery of customised Nationally Recognised Training Programs such as,

• an Introductory Training Program that will assist new contract managers and project managers to gain knowledge about their responsibilities and obligations in relation to AS 2124-1992; and
• an Advanced Training Program that will assist experienced practitioners to improve their application of AS 2124-1992 as contract managers and project managers through a lessons’ learned approach.
