Description
The PTA regularly takes oil samples from rollingstock equipment. The samples are required to be analysed and the results reported to the PTA. Oil and coolant properties to be reported include physical, chemical, and calculated properties, with all giving an insight into the equipment condition and recommendations on the causes of possible anomalies. Twenty-five samples will need to be collected and analysed weekly.
