Creation of a new café area with outdoor patio, washrooms and gift shop in a predefined area closer to the main gates. Creation of an accessible boardwalk pathway from the new Welcome Point to the Visitor Centre to allow access for all Refurbishment of the Visitor Centre. The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG) is seeking to engage a head consultant to deliver Architectural Services for the Visitors Experience Project. The primary objective of the Services is to “improve the visitors experience by creating an enhanced Welcome Point at the main gates and by upgrading the existing Visitor Centre”. The above objective has been further refined into the following: The Project will be sensitive to, and enhance, the Garden's unique heritage and environmental values.
