About the project
Barossa is an offshore gas and light condensate project being progressed by the Barossa Joint Venture, which comprises Santos Offshore Pty Ltd (Santos) as Operator, SK E&S Australia Pty Ltd, and JERA.
As part of the Project, the Joint Venture selected Allseas as the contractor to perform the Engineering Procurement, Construction and Installation of the Nearshore Gas Export Pipeline in Commonwealth and Northern Territory waters.
Scope of Work of the Nearshore Gas Export Pipeline EPCI contract
As part of the Barossa Nearshore Gas Export Pipeline EPCI project, Allseas will be responsible for installing the offshore rigid gas export pipeline and associated pipeline structures (ILT, PLET), as well as all the pipeline trench and landfall works, including rock supply and placement upon completion of pipelay.
Additionally, Allseas is responsible for installation of mattresses, and grout supports for span correction as well as for precommissioning activities of the pipeline, i.e., flood, clean, gauge and testing, followed by dewatering and conditioning with nitrogen. The fabrication and installation of the tie-in spool between the nearshore and offshore gas export pipelines is also part of Allsea's scope of work.
Allseas is committed to working constructively with Australian industry to identify and develop options to ensure a Full, Fair, and Reasonable opportunity is provided for Australian industry to participate whenever feasible.
Allseas shall support the Santos' Australian Industry Participation (AIP) Plan to ensure all Suppliers are given a Full, Fair and Reasonable Opportunity to participate in the development of the Barossa NGEP Project. Allseas will comply with all the requirements stated in Santos' AIP Plan and the Australian Jobs Act 2013 throughout the project.
