TAS Department of Treasury and Finance
Supply and installation of MCS 120 M lift control system
Details
Description
The Treasury Building lift has reached the end of its serviceable life and breakdowns and faults are becoming more and more frequent. Parts have become increasingly difficult to source and Treasury has utilised the last second hand compatible motherboard in Tasmania, which has recently broken down, leaving the building without lift services. Whilst it is hopeful that a temporary solution can be found it is considered prudent to source a new lift control system.
There is a lead time of approximately 14 weeks for parts to be delivered from the German manufacturer and installed. This is already a significant delay, which impacts on the operations of staff, contractors transferring equipment between floors and staff with mobility issues. Therefore, it is considered prudent to direct source OTIS, being the essential maintenance contractor for the Treasury lift, and who has detailed knowledge of our lift, the issues it has faced and available solutions that can be provided in a timely fashion.
