Puckapunyal Redevelopment Project

The Design Service Principal Consultant is required to complete the design and address key initiatives and issues for the project and shall provide services in all design disciplines (where required for a project element) including but not limited to: (a) Acoustic review and design; (b) Architecture including precinct planning, interior design and FF&E procurement; (c) Building Surveyor for BCA, MFPE, disabled access, and other code certification as well as compliance dispensation where required; (d) Civil, including stormwater, sewer and wetlands; (e) Communications; (f) Electrical; (g) Environmentally Sustainable Development; (h) Facade Engineering; (i) Fire; (j) Hydraulics; (k) Landscape Architecture (hard and soft); (l) Lifts; (m) Mechanical; (n) Security (electronic and physical); (o) Structural; (p) Specialist Occupational Health and Safety ; (q) Traffic; (r) Whole of Life. All design disciplines are to be completely designed by appropriate certified specialist consultants. The project will involve an upgrade and enhancement of aging infrastructure and existing facilities within the Puckapunyal Military Area to meet the new and emerging roles of the cantonment, including; (a) Engineering Services (Primarily examining the costs of an alterative power to supplement the single line feed to PMA); (b) ALTC Road Transport Wing Refurbishment of 26TPT Sqn working and teaching accommodation; (c) Extension to the Safe Driver Area; (d) Provision of a new teaching facility for the School of Armour; (e) Area Multi Denominational Chapel including the demolition of three (3) existing; (f) Entrance Precinct upgrade and provision of new working accommodation; (g) HQ CATC Refurbishment / Extension; (h) Range Control facility upgrade.
