Description
Involves supply and management of persons to work as dockside monitors during the southern zone rock lobster fishing season from 1 October to 30 April.Monitors are to be stationed at eight certified landing docks along the south east coast where commercial rock lobster fishers land their catch, to observe, record and report the weighing of each commercial fishers’ catch.Monitors will be required to be in attendance each day during designated core hours and on request during non-core hours.Monitors will also clean and certify scales daily, and lock and secure scales after core hours.
The contractor is also responsible for regular reporting; maintenance and repairs to the weigh scales, cabinets and associated equipment; transportation of scales and cabinets to and from docks at the beginning and end of each fishing season; and secure delivery of fishers’ catch returns each day during the season from each dock to PIRSA Fisheries Mt Gambier.
