Australian Taxation Office
Senior .Net Midrange Developer
Details
Description
Enterprise Applications (EA) provides the management and support framework of IT Business Systems that deliver and support ATO services to all Australians. In addition, Enterprise Applications interacts with ATO business lines by providing solutions that enable the Australian Taxation Office to be the principal revenue collection agency for the Commonwealth.
This extensive framework integrates the elements of applications management and also serves as a model to effectively deliver applications development outcomes.
EA supports a workforce of over 1200 people engaged in a broad and diverse range of activities relating to the design, delivery and management of the business systems that underpin our administrative and compliance platforms within the ATO.
The development and rollout of the Centralized Reference Data Repository (CRDR) application is sponsored by the Revenue Management Branch in Enterprise Applications. The CRDR project was initiated to improve the management and audit ability of reference data and to make it more accessible to reference data owners. The CRDR will
•Introduce validation rules to reference data – increasing the robustness of data being uploaded to reference tables.
•Increase enforcement of referential integrity between related tables to prevent inconsistencies across different tables.
•Provide flexibility to accurately and consistently configure reference data.
•Be a single authoritative source of reference data.
•Appropriately govern and assure authorised changes.
•Allow easier access for clients to approve and promote changes via a web interface.
The majority of reference data for the Integrated Core Processing enterprise application will be hosted in CRDR commencing July 2011 with an internal roll-out to the existing ICP Build Ref Data Team.
The Specified Personnel will be initially engaged via an "In-Confidence" integrity check; however they will be required to acquire a Highly Protected level of clearance in the early stages of this engagement.
This new role is based in Melbourne.
