Indigenous owned businesses are invited by the Customer to submit an offer for ITO 894.2425 for the provision of Gambling harm screening training for First Nations health and community workers.
The supplier must be an Indigenous owned business as defined in the Queensland Indigenous Procurement Policy as being 50% owned by and Aborignal person/s or Torres Strait Islander person/s
The scope of the potential Contract will cover the following requirements.
- Development and delivery of training to increase the capacity of frontline health and community workers in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to recognise, provide support and refer clients experiencing gambling harm.
- By working with First Nations stakeholders, this project aims to develop initiatives with thorough consultation to ensure First Nations communities better understand the potential harm from gambling and are empowered to minimise gambling harm.
- Specifically, this project will deliver:
- culturally appropriate facilitated training in screening and referral to address gambling harm.
- a culturally appropriate online self-paced training module about screening and referral to address gambling harm.
(Note: The Customer will have ownership of the online training module when it is developed)
