Glenmore SS - Refrubish Covered Area (Re-roof with Design Responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a replacement roof to the covered games area and a new covered walkway at Glenmore SS, located at 241-259 Farm Street, Rockhampton North QLD 4701, as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program.

The works include removal of the existing roof to the covered games area and replacing with a new insulated roof, fixed to new purlins as well as the construction of a small covered walkway to connect the covered games area to the adjacent walkway. The work site is in the middle of the school wit limited site access and working space, thus works are to be completed in the school holiday period or out of hours in the new year.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 million

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
