Description

Queensland Rail has a requirement to provide train services from Roma Street to Cairns. The current training and accreditation program utilises rolling stock to obtain route competence. The proposed solution is to source a supplier with the capability to create a 3D representation of the North
Queensland rail corridor in 3D Computer Generated Image (CGI) through a series of simulators to meet the commercial and customer needs of the business while reducing training costs and durations.

The objective of this project is to help Queensland Rail Train Service Delivery Improvement to effectively train drivers for the Travel Train corridor Roma St to Cairns to meet with the commercial and customer needs. The solution is expected to be in a controlled environment in two different locations (depots) and through the implementation of 3D simulation technology. Under this Tender process, the respondents shall supply and demonstrate to Queensland Rail of their capability to supply similar works which meet the generic requirements detailed under the Specification supplied in this Tender.
