Description
Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Gates are being introduced at a number of stations in South
East Queensland, one of which is at Cleveland. In order to house the AFC Gates, amongst
other things, a waterproof enclosure is required. At Cleveland Station, the optimum solution
to housing the AFC Gates is to provide a completely new enclosed entrance to the station,
and as well, there are other associated building works.
The AFC Gates themselves are supplied and installed by Translink’s direct contractors
(Cubic Transport Systems (Australia) Pty Limited – supply and commissioning, and Downer
Engineering - installation).
