Seaforth Station Platform and Ramp Re-Surfacing

The project entails the replacement of the existing asphalt flooring at Seaforth Station platform and access ramps due to aging, surface deterioration, and non-compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) requirements. To enhance aesthetics, safety, and durability for PTA commuters and staff, the current asphalt flooring and access ramps need to be replaced. The project scope includes the removal of existing handrails within ramp sections, the installation of paving in accordance with PTA specifications, and the installation of Fibre Reinforced Resin Polymer (FRP) tactiles. The scope includes: Remove existing handrails within ramp sections. Removal & Disposal of existing asphalt surface (both Platforms & all ramps). On-site bins shall be provided by the Contractor with sufficient capacity to accommodate waste materials, including industrial waste and other items. All waste materials, industrial waste and other waste items are to be placed into on-site skip bins. Install new subgrade to match existing levels on site. Compact and screed ready for new pavement. Installation of Midland Red paving as per PTA Specifications (both Platforms & all ramps). Supply & Install FRP tactiles ? mechanically fixed (both Platforms).Install new yellow line to concrete edge (both Platforms).Install new kerbing to platform in the existing position?s (both Platforms). Each ramp and Platform Surface to be completed as per above. Place DDA compliant tac-tiles at the bottom and top of each ramp. All work is to be completed as per PTA Specification 8880-450-067 ? Specification, Roads, Busways and Paths. Objectives - Ensure compliance with all Safety, DDA, PTA and building code specifications. Installed new subgrade matches existing levels on site.Installation of Midland Red paving as per PTA Specifications (both Platforms & all ramps).Complete the project within specified timeframes.
