The following DETE applications are being offered for contracted support and maintenance:

• Symantec Enterprise Vault,
• Symantec NetBackup,
• DETE Identity Management System

Symantec EndPoint Protection antivirus software provides the enterprise platform defence against all types of attacks and integrates the essential antivirus security tool. It protects over 340,000 endpoints within the enterprise platform and has protected the organisation against over 3000 security threats or viruses outbreaks per day. SSIM is used with EndPoint Protection to deliver proactive security protection by integrating log management with an incident response solution.
Symantec Enterprise Vault email archiving assists in managing the Microsoft Exchange messaging and file storage environment for the department’s corporate users. It deduplicates and archives source files from both file store and mail systems located within both WoG Data Centres.
Symantec NetBackup provides the Enterprise Platform with a full backup and recovery solution for all corporate data located in two data centres. NetBackup backs up over 320 Tb of data and deduplicates the information down to between 18 Tb and 4 Tb of backup data per day.
The DETE Identity Management System uses a single graphical user interface as a live dashboard allowing Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager, Unify Identity Broker and Unify Event Broker to synchronise user’s identities across and between environments, multiple points-of-reference and authoritative sources. It holds this information in a metadirectory.
