Description
The AN/PQS-2A Hand Held Sonar has been in service with the Royal Australian Navy since 1995 and Mine Warfare & Clearance Diving Systems Program Office (MCDSPO) is seeking to replace it with modern technology. The sonar is used widely as a search and locator device in two primary roles being underwater Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and active sonar mine detection.
