Description
Geoscience Australia (GA) operates and maintains a network of continuously operating Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations located Australia, Antarctica and the Pacific. The data from these stations is used for a myriad of scientific and societal applciations that range from measuring the tectonic motion of the Australian plate to supporting intelligent transport.
(a)This RFT is one of a number of RFTs being run to provide GA with equipment to fully re-build / refurbish approximately 200 GNSS sites over the next 4 years.
(b)GA is expecting to build sites progressively over the 4 year project period to a standard engineering design, keeping equipment and suppliers as consistent as possible over this period.
(c)In addition, GA expects to be able to rely on these suppliers to support equipment for at least 7 years from installation.
(d)It is intended that this panel will establish a pool of suitably qualified and capable suppliers which GA may draw upon at any time during the life of the panel.
