Paddock level herbicide resistance management for Western Region growers and advisers

This investment will demonstrate the value of herbicide resistance testing to Western growers and their agronomists. It will create groups of growers and their agronomists, who will undertake targeted sampling of problem weed populations to be tested against both single and combinations of herbicides using different modes of actions. The growers and their agronomists will work together to ensure a full understanding of the resistance testing results.

This investment also aims to use the knowledge of a behavioural economist to understand growers’ and agronomists’ attitudes towards herbicide resistance testing.
