Provision of Services for Technology Maintenance and Enhancement – Satellite Laser Ranging Facility, Mt Stromlo

The Commonwealth seeks a Contractor or Contractor(s) to work with the Commonwealth and/or other contractor(s) to enhance the Facility’s technology, as tasked in writing by the Commonwealth, and including, but not limited to:

(i) equipment upgrade and/or replacement;
(ii) software upgrade and/or enhancement;
(iii) upgrade of communications and related equipment; and
(iv) repair, replacement, adjustments, or other remedial work.

For the purposes of this RFT, “technology” could include, but not be limited to, the Facility’s electrical, mechanical, and computing infrastructure.

The Services do not include the day-to-day operation of the Facility, which is the subject of a separate RFT.

Geoscience Australia’s requirements are set out in more detail in the RFT document.

Any deed or contract entered into as a result of this RFT will be based on the Draft Form of Deed. However, Geoscience Australia may vary the terms and conditions (see clause 28(a)).

The anticipated timeframe for the deed is three years with two options to extend for a period of 12 months each.

Part offers will be considered at the sole discretion of Geoscience Australia.
