Provision of Health Assessment Services

This Request for Tender is for the provision of health assessment services for PTA personnel.

1. The successful Tenderer shall be required to conduct health assessments by an accredited Rail Safety Standards Board Authorised Health Practitioner (AHP).
2. The successful Tenderer shall be required to provide a Medications Review Officer (MRO) to review impairment and impact of workers to work safety following self-reporting of medications use, as well as provide services to validate laboratory drug and alcohol results to identify if the results are due to appropriated use of medication or illicit substance use.
3. The successful tender shall be required to provide the services of an Occupational Physician who can conduct independent clinical assessment of employees based on the physical, emotional, cognitive and psychological requirements of their role.
4. The successful tender shall be required to provide the services of a clinical psychologist/ psychologist experienced in the area of occupational health.
5. The Successful Tenderer shall be required to provide health assessments, in the Perth metropolitan area and the ability to conduct or coordinate health assessments in regional areas, such as Bunbury, Geraldton or Kalgoorlie, the Eastern States and internationally, for pre-employment personnel and existing employees.
6. The successful tenderer shall appoint an AHP from within their organisation as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on behalf of and subject to the approval of PTA.
7. The frequency, type and number of health assessments shall depend upon the category of the worker, the tasks or activities they carry out.
