HBF Arena Basketball Court Motorised Louvres Heating Solution

The project is for improving the conditions for spectators and players in the main grand stand and court areas during winter. During winter games spectators have complained of cold and draughty conditions caused by strong winds blowing through the Southern louvres.

Supply and installed Motorised Louvres to Southern Openings. Motorised louvres to be fitted to selected louvred openings on the southern side of the building. The louvres to be installed between the external weather proof louvre and the internal mesh screen. A control switch per louvre to be provided adjacent to the existing fan and air conditioning controllers.

Code Compliance

Motorised louvres to natural ventilation openings are code compliant with AS 1668.4 which requires a minimum area that is “openable” for compliant natural ventilation. The proposed design is “openable” and is compliant.
