Description

The role is expected to be the lead for all matters related to Infrastructure Security for the Critical Health ICT Infrastructure Program (CHIIP). The activities to be undertaken to successfully achieve the delivery of the program includes, but not limited to, the following: Overlay the principal objectives of the CHIIP [addressing Office of the Auditor General (OAG) audit findings] against proposed designs and solutions to ensure they are prudent and cost effective, also ensuring any potential gaps are highlighted and addressed.Provide over-sight of specific security control implementations and approving/rejecting and documenting them as necessary.Work with Program, service management and infrastructure teams to ensure the necessary level of change and incident management is achieved and ensuring all communications are circulated when required.Provide intermediary services between the HSP’s and CHIIP implementation teams to ensure programme deployment requirements and ramifications are understood by both parties.Support architectural, technical, operational, and business alignment between the CHIIP and Infrastructure Security team.Provide a first point of contact for all matters relating to Infrastructure Security outcomes throughout the life of the CHIIP program.Provide an interface into the CHIIP program for the Infrastructure Security team.Ensure that technical and business process decisions made within the CHIIP program support successful operational handover and longer-term operational success.Provide guidance and thought leadership across architectural, technical and design discussions and decisions.Oversee the establishment of any agreements and contracts with vendors and ensure that the deliverables will meet the technical, business, and operational needs of the business.Attend any pertinent technical and governance meetings to represent and champion the longer-term outcomes of the CHIIP.Support the CHIIP program and represent the Infrastructure Security team in developing any new or amended security infrastructure processes, procedures and documentation needed to operationalise the CHIIP deliverables.Monitor technical performance of the managed service provider as required during the program.Review operational resource requirements against business case and project outcomes and inform any changes needed.Ensure alignment and interoperability between the Segmentation and NAC outcomes of the CHIIP.Ensure that the deliverables for the CHIIP can be successfully delivered to meet the OAG findings whilst maintaining adherence to industry best practice, department of health requirements and aligning to HSS standards, operational practices, and processes. Required skills of individual include: Demonstrable experience with ICT Security infrastructure services, including Firewalls, Remote Access services, Router/Switch management and ProxyDemonstrable 3rd party vendor / partner previous experience with a Tier 1 Partner.Demonstrable ability to participate in implementation, upgrades, and replacement of ICT Security infrastructure services and associated application services including documentation and change management.Ability to demonstrate competency in fault finding and resolution both independently, and as part of a team, demonstrating use of initiative, problem management skills, and escalation as required.Understanding of the OSI model and demonstrated and in-depth knowledge of protocols used at each layer. Good interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
