Description
The procurement is for the development and supply of a proof-of-concept software platform for updating and testing the Department’s Water Information Management System. This system operates under the requirements of the Water Management Act 1999 (the WMA).
The software platform, which has been directly sourced, is used by other State jurisdictions in Australia. A successful implemenatation will align Tasmania with a national approach to land-based water management.
The supply includes:
1) further development to customise the software platform for Tasmania's circumstance; and
2) The provision of a licence for one year only to allow software development and to enable NRE Tas to perform due diligence on the platform.
