As a Statutory Authority, one of Queensland Rail’s key Objectives is to deliver value for money for its stakeholders and customers in providing passenger rail and network access services throughout Queensland. To address this Objective, the opportunity to partner with the industry for the provision of rerailing services has been considered in order to introduce contestability and potentially provide improved value for money.
The Rail Replacement in SEQ Project being advertised in this tender is for works to be completed in the first half of 2014 and is an introductory part of the broader program. Further opportunities are being developed that may come to the market in early 2014.
