Description
Whyalla City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from parties interested in leasing part of the Whyalla Foreshore Building to operate a retail food and beverage facility. The Foreshore Building is located at the Whyalla Foreshore which has undergone significant redevelopment with a planned upgrade to the Foreshore Building which has already commenced. The successful applicant will have the sole exclusive rights to operate the food and beverage facility in the cafe for the period of the lease.
Whyalla is in the State of South Australia and is situated on the Western coastline of Spencer Gulf, approximately 380km by road or a 45 minute flight from Adelaide. Whyalla is the largest mining services town in South Australia and the second largest regional town (after Mount Gambier). It is characterised by mining and resources activities including several active iron ore mines within 100 kilometres and major steel manufacturing and port infrastructure in the Whyalla City area. Whyalla forms part of the Upper Spencer Gulf Region, which includes nearby regional towns Port Augusta and Port Pirie.
