Description

The newly acquired Bevan Crescent Primary School site has been transferred to Council. It was formally owned by Registrar of Indigenous Corporations. This land settlement allows Council, as the new owner of the site, to prepare the site for further usage and the removal of derelict buildings and debris from the site. The Engineering and Infrastructure Department has been commissioned to call for tenders from appropriately accredited demolition contractors. This contract is for this demolition work.

The Bevan Crescent School site in question is the area bounded by Bevan Crescent, Shard Crescent, Lee Street, Winton Street. The work site is the complete site.

The school consists of a number of buildings that are to be demolished. The school buildings and the area around the school contain asbestos. The tenderer is required to inspect the school site and determine the extent of the asbestos to be removed. A few asbestos reports on the school buildings are included in this tender. The tenderer is responsible to determine the location of all asbestos and dispose of the asbestos in a legal manner with an accredited asbestos remover.

The school consists of 5 big buildings, two sheds and a bin enclosure all to be demolished. Any other fixtures on the site are to be removed.
