Request for Tender for the Provision of Overseas and Domestic Removal and Storage Services

The Commonwealth, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), has a requirement for the provision of domestic and international removals and domestic storage services and invites tenders from organisations with the experience and capacity to provide those services

It is proposed that the AusAID and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) may use any resultant contractual arrangement to procure (via a work order) identical services as DFAT.In addition, it is anticipated that other Commonwealth agencies may also utilise any resultant contractual arrangement to procure these services from the successful tenderer.

The scope of the Commonwealth’s requirement is described as follows:

a.International removals from Australia;

b.International removals to Australia;

c.International removals between overseas countries;

d.Domestic removals (within Australia);

e.Secure storage in Australia;

f.Storage overseas as required; and

g.Worldwide multiple risk insurance services.

The required services involve the following main functional activities:

a.removals and storage planning;

b.coordination and management of removals and storage;

c.conduct of approved removals and storage;

d.financial and performance reporting to the clients; and

e.provision of domestic, international removal and storage insurance services.
