Description

As part of ensuring Australia is appropriately prepared for pandemic influenza, the Australian Government plans to acquire particulate respirators. The particulate respirators are intended to be used with other personal protective equipment including goggles.

Successful tenderers will be expected to supply and store, or arrange for storage with a third party, some of the particulate respirators.

It is desirable the Goods are supplied within a maximum of six months of the awarding of a contract to the tenderer. Preference may be given to tenderers who can supply the required items in a shorter timeframe. The Department may select more than one successful tenderer and, if so, the actual quantity of Goods to be supplied by each successful tenderer will be determined from the results of the evaluation process.

It is desirable that the storage site be located no more than a two hour vehicle journey from Sydney (Kingsford-Smith) or Melbourne (Tullamarine) airports. Goods must be stored in accordance with the manufacturer`s instructions
