Description
The Department of Finance (Finance) as the functional lead in strategic asset management for government-owned non-residential building assets, is leading a whole-of-government Strategic Asset Management (SAM) initiative aimed at realising more value from government assets and improving asset management maturity and capabilities across the sector with an initial focus on office buildings and schools.
Finance is seeking to achieve the following:
- Asset Lifecycle Costing and Analysis (LCC) software – enhance the capabilities of the existing BADI platform through the provision of asset LCC intelligence and reporting capabilities including investment scenario planning and sensitivity analyses.
- Building Condition Assessment (BCA) program – having an integrated service that includes the undertaking of BCAs for approximately 180 office buildings across the State. This includes the capturing of other specified asset data to develop baseline asset register(s) (AR) in-line with Finance’s AR Specifications (see Attachment B).
