ADELAIDE FESTIVAL CENTRE UPGRADE STAGE 2/PHASE 3 - PATRON SERVICES

Expressions of interest in tendering for the construction (refurbishment and fitout) of the Patron Services component of the Adelaide Festival Centre Upgrade stage 2/phase 3 are invited from DAIS Pre-qualified General Building Contractors in Category 3. The works will be tendered as a lump sum contract and comprise a complete refurbishment and fitout of the current Centre administration area (relocated elsewhere in the AFC) and existing front foyer of the Festival Theatre. The refurbishment and fitout is to provide a patron services facility comprising some minor administration areas, a new foyer café, function rooms, booking office and exhibition space and an upgraded front foyer compatible with the new entry to the AFC. The work will generally comprise the installation new/upgrading of services (as appropriate), new partitions, floor finishes, new joinery, alterations to shopfronts, interfacing with the new Festival Drive works and sundry other works. Registrants are to note that the project will require some staging in accordance with the operational requirements of the Adelaide Festival Centre. It is proposed that the tender call for the project will be in May/June 2002, with work anticipated to commence in June/July 2002. Expressions of Interest will be assessed on project specific responses received to the following selection criteria: - Evidence of similar work successfully undertaken in operating facilities or similar over the past 4 years (referees are required). - Overview of key issues in successful delivery of similar projects in such facilities, which are operating and accessed by the public. - Proposed key personnel to undertake the works. Curriculum vitae should be provided and recent experience in construction/refurbishment work within similar projects is preferred. A short list will be determined from the Expression of Interest responses received. Registrations will only be considered from DAIS tenderers who are Prequalified General Building Contractors in Category 3 at the time Expression of Interest closes. Expressions of interest should be clearly marked with the name of the project and the relevant trade and lodged in the Contractors Tender Box, Level 6, 30 Wakefield Street, Adelaide SA 5000. No registration will necessarily be accepted.
