Provision of extension services for the Rock Lobster Fishery Management Committees to the commercial industry

Extension services support the roles of the Northern Zone and Southern Zone Rock Lobster Fishery Management Committees and involve; assembling relevant fishery management information; developing communication and other activities, tools and programs; implementing a range of communication activities, liaising between industry and the committees; and undertaking related work to facilitate committee business. Extension services primary aim is to disseminate information and to facilitate two way communication between commercial rock lobster fishery licence holders and the two Rock Lobster Fishery Management Committees. This ensures that advice from Fishery Management Committees to the Minister takes into account the broader views of this key stakeholder group.
