QLD Department of Natural Resources and Mines
Desilt Dam 8 on Mount Morgan Mine Site
Details
Description
The Mount Morgan Mine site has a freshwater Dam onsite referred to as Dam 8. Dam 8 is the freshwater supply for the Water Treatment Plant on site. Please see Attachment 1. Over time, it has filled up with silt, which has reduced its storage capacity. The maximum operating level of the dam is 40 megalitres, although it is currently around 35 megalitres, although with the operation of the on-site Water Treatment Plant this amount is expected to be reduced over the coming months.
The scope for this project is to remove all of the silt inside of Dam 8 and transport to potential locations on site. All quotes need to include timeframes (start of works, duration and completion). Quotes also need to include the proposed methodology (such as equipment to be used, size and number of equipment and how to access the dam etc.).
The complete contract requirements are specified in Schedule 1 of the attached ‘Contract Details’.
