Land Transport Standing Offer Panel

The Commonwealth of Australia, acting through the Department of Defence, from time to time requires the transport of Commonwealth equipment (Equipment) and Commonwealth or otherwise personnel and their associated baggage/personal effects (Personnel) by Land between various locations within Australia and overseas (Services). The Services include:
- the loading, securing for transport and unloading of the Equipment;
- the movement of Equipment and Personnel;
- the provision of all necessary equipment and personnel for loading and unloading the Equipment and for securing the Equipment for transport;
- the provision of all other support services;
- the provision of ISO compliant containers; and
- the provision of suitable vehicles or rail wagons.

It is not expected that every Contractor on the Land Transport Deed of Standing Offer Panel will be able to provide the full range of Services. It is anticipated that the Land Transport Deed of Standing Offer Panel will comprise a number of Contractors each able to provide some or all of the full range of Services and that the panel of Contractors as a whole will provide the full range of Services.

In light of the scope of Services outlined above, the Commonwealth's preference is to include a number of Contractors on the Land Transport Deed of Standing Offer Panel who are able to conduct smaller movements of Equipment and Personnel.
