Performance/load testing of Census output systems

The ABS has produced in house a system to provide Statistical Information, using WebPages, Excel and CSV files available for download, and a Web Application called TableBuilder to facilitate the dissemination of the 2011 Statistics.The solution for the 2011 Census Dissemination comprises of the following sub systems: Census Data Navigation, QuickStats, CommunityProfiles, Datapacks, TableBuilder Pro and TableBuilder Basic.For further information about the Census Products and Services please refer to http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/[email protected]/mf/2011.0.

1.2This statement of requirement outlines the information needed to provide a quote for load and performance testing of the 2011 Census Dissemination Systems

1.3Maintenance of confidentiality and the preservation of each individual's privacy are government legislative requirements and are critical to the success of the Census. The high rate of participation in the Census and other ABS collections is attributable to public confidence in the ability of the ABS to maintain confidentiality of the information it collects from the Australian population.

1.4Provision of available, timely, quality statistics is at the heart of the ABS Mission Statement.The ability of the 2011 Census Dissemination Systems to perform under peak load will be key to achieving these goals.

1.4The provider(s) of Load and Performance testing services will be required to work collaboratively, with the ABS, Telecommunications providers, and third party providers to ensure successful delivery of the project outcomes. Tenderers should provide a detailed project plan and organise regular project meetings and other relevant communication with ABS project staff.
