SA Department of Human Services
DCSI 440 Data Profiling
Details
Description
As part of a broad organisational change program, Re-imagine Housing SA: Connecting People to Place, the SAHT has identified a program addressing Business Systems Transformation (BST). The high level objective of the BST program is to replace the SAHT’s existing mainframe ICT systems and modernise associated practices and policies.
As part of the BST Program, SAHT will need to migrate data from 38 core mainframe applications to a target SaaS solution. The SAHT is in the process of selecting the target solution through a separate procurement process already underway.
In order to provide clean and consistent data to load into the new target solution, SAHT wishes to engage a vendor to conduct data profiling.
At a high level, the successful tenderer will be required to:
- Analyse the data to assess the level of data quality including:
- Validation of foreign key relationships;
- Consistency in field use;
- Conformance to data validation rules;
- Levels of duplication;
- Age of data; and
- Present findings with a suitable business context, to enable the SAHT to efficiently progress decisions such as the data transformation rules, the amounts of data to be migrated and the data cleanse needed.
