Suppliers are invited by James Cook University (JCU) to submit an offer for the Demolition of Buildings located at the Western Campus and Western Halls at JCUs Townsville Campus
The general Scope of Work requires the Principal Contractor to complete the removal of in-ground infrastructure and an aggregate of sixteen (16) buildings across two larger sites, including Western Campus and Western Halls. Scope includes but not limited to:
- Disconnection of existing services.
- Reconnection/re-routing of services required to remain during/following demolition.
- Removal and disposal of all asbestos containing materials and hazardous materials from buildings.
- Removal of any contaminated or hazardous materials from buildings/sites in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.
- The remediation of building pad fill shall be compacted in maximum 150mm of gravel to a minimum 98% dry density ratio.
- The remediation of the sites comprising of hydro mulch, and where necessary topsoil, to disturbed area with existing vegetation to remain where specified within the constraints of the site.
- Targeting 80% recycling or greater.
