The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is seeking Proposals for the 'Spyglass Gully Remediation' (SGR) Remediation Earthworks.

The aim of this project is to improve understanding of cost-effective alluvial gully remediation techniques, increase the knowledge and skill base for gully remediation in the Upper Burdekin, and reduce sediment generation from a gully network at the mouth of Continong Creek.

The full suite of gully remediation works has been separated into three stages; this contract is for Stage 1 only.

Stage 1 works are the major gully reprofiling works, construction of bunds and rock chutes. Suppliers must supply rock and granular filter material for rock chutes as per the ‘Simplified Schedule of Quantities’. Some clearing and stockpiling will be required.
