Description
The Tasmanian Government is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified respondents for the provision of a customer focussed ferry service operating between Kettering Terminal and Roberts Point, Bruny Island, Tasmania.
The service is predominantly a vehicular ferry service, with a small proportion of pedestrian passengers, in continuous operation with multiple scheduled departures throughout the day from early morning to early evening, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. The crossing is just under 2 kms or 1 nautical mile.
The Tasmanian Government proposes to offer a contract for a period of 10 years with two options to renew of a further 5 years each.
An innovative vessel replacement strategy will also be required as part of the contract.
